The
Global Draw is taking over the operation of an additional 700+ gaming
machines, primarily in the independent sector, from Sceptre Leisure.
The company, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Scientific Games Corporation
[Nasdaq: SGMS], will take on the end to end operation of machines across
an additional 200 shops including Mark Jarvis, Scotbet, Corbetts and
S & D bookmakers who have signed two to four year contracts for machine
supply.
These new contracts follow on from the partnership between Scientific
Games and Playtech announced at the start of the year.
Playtech, through subsidiary Videobet, has been trialling its Jupiter
machine and content offer in the UK with operator Sceptre Leisure and
this deal will see The Global Draw take over existing operations as Sceptre
Leisure disposes of its LBO division to focus on its core business.
David Kerr, National Sales Director at Sceptre, will move across to The
Global Draw team and continue to manage his existing accounts.
Phil Horne, Managing Director of The Global Draw, said: “We are
delighted to have the opportunity to operate machines with such strong
independent bookmakers and look forward to working with each of them
to drive their machine offer through market leading content, continued
service delivery, account management and marketing support.”
The Global Draw is a leading supplier of dual screen B2/B3 gaming machines
to UK betting shops with more than 13,000 terminals operating in over
3,500 shops.
